Welcome to the March 10, 2007 sea cruises edition of carnival of struggling bumbling newbies.

Note from jon…
I starting this carnival some time ago to help the new bloggers. Mostly to help them get noticed. Recently I’ve begun to notice that a great many of my submitters could use some help with their blogs. So, I have a few questions for three different types of readers.

Submitters:
Would you like feed back from experts on your blog? Format. Adsense usage. Air travel Affiliate programs you could use. Whatever?

Those that read but have not submitted yet:
Would you submitt if you could get meaningfull feedback?

Experts or Veterans:
Would you be willing to help the newbie’s?

Simply leave a comment. Let’s see if this can be more helpful.

I’m fairly new myself, been blogging only about five months or so; but I’ve pretty much got a handle on things by now. If any newbies need advice, send me an e-mail anarchistrabbi (at) gmail (dot) com.

I’m not a newbie; in fact, I’ve been blogging since 2001, and wrote a book on videoblogging. However, I’m always willing to learn better blogging techniques.

But I have no interest in Adsense or other affiliate programs I could use to boost income from my blog. I’ve decided that my blog is not a commercial entity, and I want it to stay that way. Readers don’t like ads, they don’t want them, and the only ads they genuinely want to find on my site are for my own books and products. Thus, if a product appears in my blog, it’s because it’s something I personally have connected with, not just something that someone paid me a fraction of a cent to show.
